Craving some oddly satisfying photos? Sometimes when life is crazy and chaotic, much like it is right now, we crave some semblance of order and reason. Sometimes, all it takes is that order in even just the small things to help us feel a little more at peace! Well as a sort of chill pill for the chaotic mind, we’ve gathered thirty of the best images on the internet that show off the satisfaction of good organisation and attention to detail. It’s here for your viewing pleasure, so take a seat, grab a coffee and prepare to feel oh so relaxed!
1) It’s a lifestyle
It’s a pretty stark difference between these two mindsets! The first picture is nearly giving me an aneurysm with just how messy it is… I understand some people don’t need organization as long as they know where everything is… But doesn’t the second picture just look so much easier? Not to mention it looks far more professional for parent teacher interviews or what have you!
Iβm an art teacher and I moved to a new school this past summer. The previous teacher did not share my love of organization. Behold the before and after of my paper closet! from oddlysatisfying
2) Alignment
Nature might seem pretty sporadic and like it just does whatever it wants but if you look close you can find some order and patterns in anything! And sometimes, it jumps right out at you and looks like this! The close ups on the branches are so satisfying, I love seeing how well lined up each leaf is! They’re like a well organized office! It creates a weird gradient effect on the eyes when viewed from afar, making this tree weirdly eye-catching!
3) Contrast
Yes, the perfectionist in me definitely appreciates this art! The way the sky is so consistent and smooth while the water is so much more free flowing and less patterned is a really cool effect for the piece! It’s oddly representative of how the sky and water work in real life!
4) Just right
Now this is a baker with an eye for detail! And do they ever know how to make patterns satisfying to look at! I think I would honestly have a hard time eating a pie that looks so perfect… The moment you dive in, fork first, the pattern will be ruined! Maybe these work better as display pies.
5) Black cherry
I know absolutely nothing about paint mixing but when a professional tells me it’s difficult I tend to believe them! And really, that end result is worth it! I can’t quite pin down why but it’s a really gorgeous color to look at, isn’t it? It’s almost opalescent in the way it changes where it is dark and bright depending on where you stand!
Black Cherry paint is very hard to get correct, but the outcome is very satisfying. from oddlysatisfying
6) LaVey estate
Man, it might be my darker tastes but I love this house! It’s so crisply black! The way it just stands right out next to its brighter neighbors is beautiful. The black door, black stairs and black car really make it into one cohesive look that would make any rolling stone happy! The only thing is that it must get unbearably hot in the summer, don’t you think?
7) At ease
Now these are some forklifts standing at attention! Whatever level of precision this took was worth it, it’s incredibly satisfying to look at. I’m only a little bit thrown off by the missing forklift on the right where that cardboard box is. Either find another forklift or hide the other one. We were this close to perfection!
8) Confidence
This farmer must have been doing this for quite a while! I can’t even imagine driving behind this on the highway. It looks so weirdly secure but I have no idea how they’ve managed to pull that off! It’s an oddly aesthetically pleasing truck too! The bright orange of the carrots contrasted with that deep blue is gorgeous!
9) Egg ball
This is probably one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen. I didn’t know this could happen! Do you think the egg would hatch into a perfectly round chick? I’d be inclined to hang onto this egg more than use it!
10) Smooth
That first scoop out of a fresh jar of peanut butter… Nothing better! It’s so incredibly satisfying to see it all so perfectly smooth and flat! It’s really only an experience you can have with smooth peanut butter, not chunky! Thus why, in my house, there is only one acceptable answer to which kind of peanut butter you like.
11) Hollowclean
Wow so chickens are… more perfectionist than I am! I’ve never seen watermelons so thoroughly cleaned out! They really got everything good out of there before leaving them! Even the pattern left on the rinds from all the pecking is oddly satisfying. I’m curious now about what happens when you leave a pumpkin with chickens, would you ever have to clean a pumpkin out yourself again?
12) Gradient
What a gorgeous photo! It’s so cool to see each droplet pick up a slightly different color! Even cooler, some of the droplets in the middle that pick up both the red and the yellow make tiny little German flags! I wonder if the car is a Volkswagen?
13) When nature loves you back
Of course you can put love into your plants, and most greenthumbs would say they definitely do! But how many botanists can say that their plants also started loving them back? This succulent is clearly just trying to show how happy and healthy it is!
14) Yin and yang
This is one of the coolest, cutest photos I’ve ever seen! I love seeing cats love each other like this. I always want to cuddle with cats but it’s pretty rare that they want to cuddle me back! I can only imagine how soft it must feel to be a cat cuddling with another cat!
15) Brownie points
This is a small task that really improves the look of a room substantially! No one likes seeing a big mess of wires anywhere electronics are! I know the areas behind my tv and computer can get much worse than this. But with a little love and effort, you too can have some beautiful cable management like this! Is there anything more satisfying than a before and after like this?
16) Speaking of…
I mean it’s a super cool feature to have cable management options readily available like this, but it’s also super satisfying to look at! I hope this becomes a more common feature in electronics, because honestly it would save me so much time and effort to make everything look nice! The money I would save on tape and zip ties would probably make a tv like this affordable!
17) Consistency
Ever open up your blender to find some sacred geometric knots? Apparently nutribullets are the way to get there! I could stare at this picture forever with how perfectly this smoothie has all folded in on itself! I bet it was really fun to watch this blend, too!
18) All of autumn
This almost looks like someone took a photo everyday from the beginning to end of fall and merges them all together! Summer at the bottom, and mid autumn at the top! It also looks like the leaves have all been falling at the same rate so you have the gradient all scattered beneath the tree which is also super nice to look!
19) Mirror’s edge
It doesn’t get much cleaner than that! A landscaper after my own heart. I wish I could get my edges half as crisp as this! It’s such a huge difference for something so small! This is why weed whackers are a good investment, they get those spots, that lawnmowers can’t, that just kind of eat away at a perfectionist’s heart!
20) Interconnection
The sheer number of factors that had to line up so that this person could find a leaf that perfectly fits the creases in their hand is pretty astronomical. Is nature trying to tell the photographer something, perhaps? Or maybe we’re just not as different from trees as we once thought?
21) High effort payoff
This is straight up amazing, I’m pretty blown away right now! So much love and effort must have gone into this cake and it’s corresponding cupcakes! There’s so much detail in the cake alone but then the cupcakes are all so perfectly in place! This is sure to get a wow at any event it’s served at!
22) Finish what you start
I guess when you’re so good at your job that you work at the same company for twenty years you get good enough to actually finish a pen for once! I don’t think I’ve ever properly finished a pen, let alone an entire box! Now it’ll be a personal goal of mine because I can already tell how satisfying this is going to be!
After 20 years of working at the same place, I vowed to finish a pen, then I finished the box. from oddlysatisfying
23) Forget a box
Wow, way to one up the last guy! I guess this student really liked this specific kind of pen, because it’s all they used! That’s a lot of writing for what is typically a two year program! That’s powering through seven pens a year! I still have some pens from when I was twelve!
24) Perfect split
What a huge difference between the two sides of the swamp! It’s so beautiful to see a straight line like this in nature, it’s fairly rare! It definitely makes for a really cool photo. The only thing I still really want to see is what would happen if the tree was suddenly lifted…
25) Chungus
A smooth and round smol boi. Maybe he came out of that perfectly round egg from earlier? To be honest I have no idea how something so small, cute, pristine and neat can come to exist in nature! This little fella looks like he’s too good for this world!
26) Lush
There’s something so perfect about this flower! It looks so healthy and vibrant! Like this is my idea of the quintessential flower somehow. The colors are so nice, and that yellow is so vibrant and bright! Not a single spot of aging on any of the petals, either!
27) Artistry
This welder goes above and beyond, it’s not just about whatever works, works! They clearly have quite a bit of confidence in their skills to be able to pull something like this off! This has to be just about the closest you can get to welding a perfect circle out of individual metal poles!
28) A basement for you and me
This is the way to do it! Don’t let all your space get wasted by just letting anything go anywhere! All you need is a metric heckload of bins and boxes to put everything into! Bonus points if you have a label maker to label everything quickly and on the fly! The end result is just gorgeous, a true art piece!
29) Smooth
This quilt is practically made for me! This is someone with attention to detail right here! She must have used so many different fabrics to achieve such a beautiful gradient across her colors! I could seriously stare at this quilt for quite some time just admiring how nicely it’s made!
30) Unique
I know every snowflake is completely unique but this really is a perfect snowflake somehow! It almost doesn’t look real! I guess I’m too used to them melting the moment they land anywhere. Pretty much all you can do in this situation is snap a picture before it melts! Thank you for your service, random Redditor!
Okay so even I’m feeling a lot better after that! Nothing like some perfection to put your mind at ease. I’m curious about what happens in the brain when we see images like these that are so oddly perfect. Do we get a little spike of dopamine or seratonin? Why do I find it so addictive? Tell me I’m not alone in this feeling! You must have enjoyed it just as much as I did since you’re here at the end reading my final thoughts! Maybe your perfectionist friends would get a kick out seeing the same slideshow!
