The jump roping we grew up with is a playground favorite that includes competing with friends, chanting rhymes while skipping, and even pulling attempting fancier versions like the double dutch. It promotes teamwork and serves as an ice breaker in school. In fact, The Amazing Jump Rope says it’s a character-building game that helps kids conquer shyness and encourages creativity.

And then, gym class teaches you that it’s actually a really great tool for working out, too. That’s why fitness enthusiasts and trainers use jump ropes often. Some stick to using the jump rope for fitness and some for play, but there are those who master it so well that champions are created.

Like a rhythmic gymnast with a ribbon, the athlete took her jump rope, lowered it, and dragged it across the floor to create a slow, rippling effect. Then, she swung it around her body and over her head and like a ballerina, kept her head held high and toes pointed.

When the tempo increased, Adrienn’s movement quickened, too. Light on her feet, she jumped with her arms crossed, turning and hopping briskly as she maneuvered the jump rope.

Incorporating dance steps into her performance, Adrienn even did cartwheels which were always followed by energetic jump roping. In the latter part of her routine, four gentlemen joined her on the floor and took part by doing a bit of jumping themselves, to which the audience responded with delighted laughter and applause.

It’s amazing what she did in under three minutes. Her participation in Cirque du Soleil isn’t the only activity keeping her busy, either. Apart from promotional engagements, Adrienn also works for German-based companies. Her solo act also appears on the stages of Variete Theatres and Special Events.
