Young boys are known for getting into all kinds of situations. After all, they’re boys. Most love to play sports, climb trees, and ride bikes. Then there are other boys who just want to dance. While some of them do it for fun, meaning they have no real rhythm, others are true performers.
Now imagine boys who are only 4=years-old who can rock out with the best of them. That’s what one video shows. Their song of choice? What else, Jailhouse Rock. As one of Elvis Presley’s most popular songs, these young lads do it justice.
Five boys take the stage.
At a school performance, five boys walk onto the stage. They’re all adorably dressed in black and white prison garb, perfect for the song. As the lights go on, you see a bright red and green sign hanging behind them with the words, “It’s Show Time.” And boy, was it.
They patiently wait for the music to start.
In unison, well, sort of, they stop their feet and raise their left arm in the air. Then they switch to their right arm and back to the left. But as soon as the song hits the part, “Let’s rock,” they all start wiggling their little hips. They’re trying to do it as fast as they can. In response, the crowd laughs.
The boy in the back does an impressive twirl.
They’ve got the beat down pat. At that point, moms, dads, grandparents, siblings, and friends are cheering. You can’t help but love these boys. Uh oh…a uniformed police officer joins them on stage. The five “prisoners” quickly turn around and make their way toward the back of the stage.
They just keep on dancing.
Even with law enforcement present and their backs turned away from the audience, those little hips don’t stop shaking. As part of the act, the boy playing the police officer doesn’t know what to do. So, after running back and forth, he finally stops in the middle of the stage and puts his arms out as if to say, “I give up.”
It appears the “prisoners” decide to befriend the cop.
They all come running toward him with one little boy sliding underneath the officer’ legs. Then, they all join hands. You know the saying, “If you can’t beat them — join them.” While hesitant for a few seconds, the officer’s body takes over and he too begins to shake his hips. Now, the audience is in hysterics.
They put on a great show.
They end up on the floor, moving their way around the stage while kicking their legs. The video goes on for almost three minutes, delighting everyone in attendance. Not only are the guests having a blast, but also these young boys.
Toward the end of the video, they make a choo-choo train line. When finished, they take center stage to wave. These guys might be young but they sure know how to impress an audience. I’m sure their teacher is so proud.
